Good morning everyone. Welcome to this Friday devotion. Let us all take a moment to give thanks to the Lord for the breath in our lungs and the grace He provides every single day. Dont forget about our Sunday Bible Cowboy Message we are in week 3 of The Round Pen. This morning we all know that Cowboying is not a job its a lifestyle that we love just like being a Christian.
People who work a city job get excited about Friday at five o'clock. They punch a time clock, go home, and put their feet up or get ready for the weekend and dress up as a cowboy and go out. But out here, a real cowboy does not get weekends off. The horses still needs feeding, The stalls still need to be cleaned, and when its cold the ice in the water troughs still needs breaking, and the fences still need checking. If a horse or calf gets sick on a Saturday morning, you do not tell it to wait until Monday. Cowboying is not a job you clock out of; it is the way we live. You are a cowboy seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Christianity is the exact same way. When Jesus tells us about putting our hand to the plow, He is talking about a total, everyday commitment. A lot of folks want to be "Sunday morning Christians." Just like weekend cowboys. They put on their good boots, sit in the pew, and sing the hymns. But by Monday morning, they have hung up their faith right next to their Sunday hat.
Some of us know what it is like to live a divided life we are either there now or have been there, searching for a way out of the pain while trying to hold onto the world. Where we left with a broken body and a shattered spirit. So we tried to numb that pain seven days a week with drugs and alcohol. The devil did not take the weekend off when he was trying to destroy us, and the depression did not punch a clock at five o'clock. It was a constant, heavy storm cloud that hovered over us constantly.
But when God pulled us out of that darkness, we realized that His grace is also a seven-day-a-week reality. He did not just save me for Sunday morning; He saved me for the dirt, the mud, and the heavy lifting of Tuesday and Thursday.
We cannot afford to take the weekend off from our faith. The people out there who are hurting, addicted, and feeling washed up need to see the love of Christ every day of the week. We ride for the King's brand, and that means we stay in the saddle until the work is done. You cannot put your hand to the plow and keep looking back at the barn.
Now I know that there is someone today who has been trying to live with one foot in the church and one foot in the world. You are treating your faith like a part-time job, and because of it, you are exhausted and empty. You are fighting battles during the week all by yourself because you left the Lord in the sanctuary on Sunday. I invite you today to stop looking back. Put your hand to the plow and surrender your whole life to Jesus Christ. He does not want a piece of your life; He wants your whole life and heart. So if you are ready to make Him the Lord of your everyday life, give your heart and life to Him right now.
Let’s Pray,
Father, we thank You that Your mercy does not take the weekend off. Lord, forgive us for the times we treat our relationship with You like a part-time job. Help us to keep our hands on the plow and our eyes fixed straight ahead. Give us the strength to be a light to the broken and the addicted every single day of the week. Protect our families, watch over our livestock, and keep our faith strong in the daily grind. In Jesus' name, Amen.
So as we move through today and the weekend we need to ask ourselves one question. Are you living for the Lord seven days a week, or are you just punching a clock on Sunday morning?
Please don’t ever forget this its so important. "The brand you wear on Sunday should be the exact same one you sweat in on Monday. Ride for the Kingdom every day."

Amen ! Such a sobering truth !
