The Strength of the Herd

Written by Cowboy Evangelist Rev. Joseph Holmes

Produced by H C Cowboy Ministries

Scripture Focus: Galatians 6:2 (KJV) — "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."

Good morning everyone. God bless you all on this beautiful morning as we give thanks to the Lord for another day. I want to start by thanking every single one of you for your prayers yesterday. By the grace of the Great Physician, my surgery went wonderfully, and I am rested and recovering at home but work at the ranch never stops so today I am back at it nobody said cowboying was easy just like being a Christian is not easy this is something we must remind ourselves everyday.

While I was resting yesterday, it got me thinking about how things work out in the pasture. Out in the wild, or even out in…

Riding the Fence Line

Written by Cowboy Evangelist Rev. Joseph Holmes

Produced by H C Cowboy Ministries Scripture Focus: 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) — "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

Good morning everyone. God bless you all on this Tuesday morning. We made it past Monday and we are into a new week this morning I want to talk about how the devil trys to trap you. When you run a working ranch, putting the saddle on and moving the cattle is only half the job. A good cowboy also has to spend a lot of time riding the perimeter and checking the wire. You have to ride the fence line, looking for broken posts, sagging wire, or places where a tree branch might have fallen and created a gap. If you leave a gap in…

Written by Cowboy Evangelist Rev. Joseph Holmes

Produced by H C Cowboy Ministries

Scripture Focus: James 1:22 (KJV) — "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

Good morning everyone I hope you all enjoyed the Sunday Cowboy Bible Message, God bless you all for the support and prayers especially when I was sick this weekend. But by the grace of our Loving God we have made through, and we are now on this Beautiful Monday morning. Yesterday, during our Sunday Morning Cowboy Bible Message, we talked about accepting the saddle. We talked about how God calls us out of the wild, puts a calling on our lives, and how we have to stop bucking and let Him tighten the cinch so we can go to work.

A brand new saddle looks absolutely beautiful sitting on a rack in the…

The Painted Front Gate

Written by Cowboy Evangelist Rev. Joseph Holmes

Produced by H C Cowboy Ministries

Scripture Focus: Galatians 6:4 (KJV) — "But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another."

Good morning everyone. God bless you all. I am feeling a little under the weather this morning, but we still have to give thanks to the Lord and trust in him. The Lord laid a heavy message on my heart that I think we all struggle with at some point in our lives maybe some more than others. One of the heaviest burdens we carry as believers is what I like to call the devils trap of comparing ourselves to other Christian families. It is so easy to look around and feel like you are failing. To our eyes, it seems like everyone else has their…
