Thanksgiving Ride for God’s Brand
The table’s set, the fire burns bright,
Families gather in the soft lamplight.
Turkey carved, and prayers in hand,
But I speak today of God’s great Brand.
A cowboy’s mark upon the hide,
Shows the herd for whom he’ll ride.
So too the Lord has marked our soul,
With grace that makes the broken whole.
We thank the ones who rode before,
Who prayed us through each trial’s door.
We thank our kin, both near and far,
For guiding us beneath His star.
But most of all, we lift our eyes,
To Christ who paid the greatest price.
Love poured out when we were lost,
Salvation sealed upon the cross.
To ride for God’s Brand is to stand tall,
To search the strays, to heed His call.
No calf forgotten, no soul denied,
The Shepherd’s love will always ride.
So on this day, give thanks anew,
For mercy deep and faith made true.
The trail is long, but the promise grand:
Eternal life when you ride His Brand.
