The Old Cowboy's Evening Prayer

Lord of the range and the wide-open sky, I come to You now as the daylight runs dry. Thank You for findin' me out on the trail, When I was plumb lost and my courage had failed.

Thank You for horses, for honest hard work, For calloused old hands and muscles that hurt. It reminds me I'm livin', still breathin' Your air, Still blessed with a purpose, still wrapped in Your care.

I pray for these cowboys bunked here by my side, Open their hearts, Lord, let Your truth be their guide. Some are young, some are weathered, all searchin' for home, Show 'em the way so they don't have to roam.

Help me to live out Your Word every day, Not just with my preachin', but in my own way. Let 'em see Jesus in how I treat the horses, In honest day's labor, in stayin' the courses.

A Cowboy’s Thanksgiving Prayer

Father God,

On this Thanksgiving Day we come with grateful hearts.

Thank You for meetin’ us right where we are,

For forgivin’ our sins and givin’ us new life in Jesus.

Thank You for families, friends, and food on this table,

And for mercy that makes broken folks whole.
